Attorney Jeff Hunt helps our clients protect themselves and their families, both in planning ahead to preserve and guard their assets and businesses against all manner of risks, circumstances and interlopers, and when necessary from time to time in resolving thorny disputes with minimal disruption. Our clients include accomplished investors and business owners who operate, buy, and sell valuable businesses in Austin and Central Texas. Jeff advises many clients, across industries, in the business of protecting and leveraging valuable innovations and technologies, or in due diligence when investing or partnering to pursue opportunities in technology. Clients may own or manage tech companies, such as businesses in semiconductor design and manufacturing, fintech, computing and networking, wireless communications, information technology, healthcare, and medical devices, as well as franchises and businesses providing all manner of innovative products and services. Innovations arise in unlikely places: building materials, leisure products, pet products, boating and fishing, truck accessories, oil and gas/energy production, surveillance technologies, security, mobile phones, and many others.
For client businesses competing in the innovation industries, Jeff may devise and implement complete Intellectual Property portfolios that protect large investments to develop valuable technologies and support complementary business strategies. Strategies may be devised to support business valuation targets for exit opportunities. IP portfolios may include patents, trademarks, trade secrets, licenses, and copyrights. He is a registered U.S. Patent Attorney and highly experienced in preparing and advancing patent applications, for a wide range of technologies, in the U.S. Patent Office. In the course of many years protecting Intellectual Property, Mr. Hunt has been involved in, drafted and evaluated various patent infringement cases, PTAB proceedings, and licensing agreements.
